Students and Clinical Education

Allied Health Care for the Ballarat Region

Lake Health Group have a commitment to excellence in physiotherapy. In an effort to share this commitment, we have developed partnerships with the University of Melbourne, Latrobe University and locally Australian Catholic University (ACU) to offer Physiotherapy Placements to students. Our clinic provide clinical placements for final year physiotherapy students and observation placements for first year ACU students currently. Because of this ongoing commitment with our partners we are unable to provide work experience placements, but attend local careers expos each year to provide information to perspective Allied Health Students and support their health journey.

Our Expectations

Lake Health Group have high standards of professionalism, ethics and continuing education and we expect the same from our students. Clinical Placements are generally organised by the University well in advance and we provide our clients with notice of students being a part of clinic. If clients are uncomfortable or would prefer not to have a student sit in on a consultation please let your treating therapist know.

GROUP EXERCISE & GYM

Lake Health Group will recommence small group exercise classes for groups of 4 in our studio on the 6th of July.

For members and people in group classes who cannot attend the clinic, please arrange an appointment with Jamie or Josh so that a home program can be implemented until you are able to attend group classes.

Please note we are continuing to follow strict COVID-19 risk minimisation procedures.
