Exercise Groups are an individually tailored approach to rehabilition, strengthening and conditioning, that uses both floor exercise as well as Pilates and gym equipment. Our physiotherapists will assess and guide you through a progression of exercises for specific injuries, general fitness or your individual goals. Your technique and form will be checked and monitored either individually or in a small groups, depending on your preference.
How to get started with Exercise Groups?
Every individual starting an Exercise Group with Lake Health Group will require an assessment with one of our physiotherapists. These assessments run for 30 minutes, and cover your injury/health history, your goals and needs, and a thorough assessment of your posture and strength.
From that assessment, a further 2 or 3 appointments with your physiotherapist is generally needed to allow you to safely and confidently perform your program. After that the physiotherapist will in, conjunction with you, recommended your best options going forwards. This may be small or intermediate group work or further one on one appointments in an independent program.
