Carmen is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD) who studied a Bachelor of Health Science (Nutrition) at Swinburne University, followed by a postgraduate Masters in Nutrition and Dietetics at Monash University.
Carmen values the balance of scientific evidence-based nutrition and maintaining a healthy, practical relationship with food. Carmen focuses on what eating means for her patients and works in partnership with them to tailor a nutrition management plan that is within their means and suits their lifestyle.
Carmen has experience within the private hospital and private practice sector as well as the community setting. She has successfully helped many individuals increase their nutrition knowledge and achieve their healthy lifestyle goals.

Carmen is very passionate about educating individuals on the importance of nutrition, including delivering nutrition presentations to Ballarat Grammar School’s boarding community. Additionally, Carmen volunteered at the Monash Hospital’s Diabetes Clinic in Melbourne to educate newly diagnosed diabetes patients and their families on carbohydrate counting and nutrition in the management of diabetes.
Carmen’s special interests include educating and supporting individuals with their weight loss goals, diabetes management, malnutrition and gastrointestinal health, conditions and disorders.
